For the Bruins' five-game road trip beginning on Friday, they'll have an extra set of legs, as it was announced on Wednesday morning that Karson Kuhlman had been recalled by the team.
Kuhlman, 23, signed a two-year contract with the Bruins last April at an average of $750,000 per year. In 50 games for the Providence Bruins this season, Kuhlman has 12 goals and 13 assists with a team-best plus-22 rating.
Prior to signing with the Bruins, Kuhlman played four years of D1 hockey as a Minnesota-Duluth Bulldog. As team captain in 2017-18, Kuhlman's Bulldogs won the NCAA Championship, as Kuhlman was named the Tournament MVP. During his four years as a Bulldog, the Esko, Minnesota native scored 39 goals and collected 41 assists in 166 games.
