Bruins Send D-Man Steven Kampfer To Providence On Conditioning Assignment, Lays Out Opponent With Solid Hit
After being a healthy scratch for 18 straight games, Bruins defenseman Steven Kampfer was sent to the Providence Bruins on Sunday prior to their home game against the Syracuse Crunch.
Kampfer, who last played on December 23, appeared in Providence's 4-0 win and registered this solid open-ice hit late in the third period:
A head hunt? Was that announcer high? This was a clean, open-ice hit. The guy still had possession of the puck at the time of the hit. Kampfer didn't raise his shoulders. This was a textbook clean hit. Just saying. No bias from me.
