Bruins left winger Sean Kuraly was placed in concussion protocol yesterday after taking this big hit from Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Braydon Coburn the previous night (Thursday):
Clean hit, in my opinion. Very similar to Zdeno Chara's hit on Evander Kane one game prior. Didn't see anything too malicious about this. Still, the team is right to protect its gritty fourth-liner by placing him under protocol.
Kuraly will be unavailable tonight against the New Jersey Devils, which is why the team recalled forward Peter Cehlarik in time for the game.
Lately there haven't been enough busses for Cehlarik (and Karson Kuhlman):
The Bruins (38-17-9) will look to extend their point streak to 16 games tonight against the Devils (25-32-8) at 7 pm ET at TD Garden.
